I am getting sick and tired of all these elite liberal wussies screaming about school children having to take a TEST and passing IT before they can move on to a higher grade I don't know what all of you out there in Blogger-ville had to do when you went to school , BUT if I wanted to pass on to a higher class in school I had to TAKE a TEST and PASS before I was allowed to go up a GRADE,,!!!
When I was in the US NAVY and I wanted to make more money I had to rise in RANK ,in order to put another strip on my arm I >> guess what << HAD to TAKE a TEST and PASS it with a HIGHER SCORE then all the other men who took the test,, if 100 men took the TEST and there was openings for 10 , that meant I had to SCORE HIGHER then 90 other men, seems only fair to me,
NOW some jerk of a (so called) judge in California is telling the school board that the children do not have to pass a test showing that they can do the 12th grade work in order to graduate ,, and SOME of us wonder if this COUNTRY that we love is going to HE ! ! in a handbasket,BUT thats OK the elite liberals tell us the little 18 year old children will not have their feelings HURT so that makes it right , WHAT are these little darlings going to do when they have to go out into the BIG MEAN world to get a JOB and find out that they are not qualified for any job higher then pushing a broom, will the elite liberals come hold their hand and comfort them because they can not buy a house or BMW or vacation in EUROPE ,,, NOPE to late for that they are to become the LOST GENERATION
,, SO until we can get TEACHERS who can TEACH and JUDGES who who KNOW RIGHT from WRONG ,, lets PRAY that no one notices that we are in trouble, and invades us and we all have to start speaking another language OH you mean thats all ready taking PLACE>>>>>

Good post Joe!!![THUMBUP] Yep you are right GOD HELP US!!! we sure need the help. I don't mind the tests but our state has gotten RIDICULOUS with the testing. What I mean by that is they get so stuck on teaching the kids how to take the TAKS TEST instead of teaching them the basics. Whatever happened to Reading, Writing, and Arithmatic? It was good enough for us and we are capable of living in this world. That is my main complaint with the testing in our state. And that is thanks to our governor. When we had President Bush as our governor he did a LOT for the education in our state. I don't like what Rick Perry has done with it though. I think that the tests are fine but they spend the whole school year teaching them how to take this test. Something is just really WRONG with this picture.

[OHMY]I know the idea of having a test that the teachers only teach the children to pass,,, we use to have test on all subjects, every 6 weeks before we got our report cards, AND dad had a belt if the grades were not good[TONGUE][ROLLEYES][THUMBUP]

Yeah, see it was better when they would test on all the subjects every six or nine weeks instead of teaching them to learn how to take the tests. It is crazy because they have practice tests for them and it is called a bubbling sessions. In other words they are going over how to fill in the bubble of either A, B, C, or D and that is a waste of time. Testing over the subjects and what you have learned that is fine I think.[THUMBUP][SMILE]

I don't get why it seems like a good idea to not test kids. I didn't like the fact that at my school, if I didn't pass my junior research paper I couldn't graduate. To base everything on one paper like that is stupid. But I think it's very important to test kids to see if they've learned everything they should have. Now I understand that there are other people like me who have trouble taking tests, but I made it through alright. I think that a test should be required, but they could also take existing grades into consideration for whether or not they're learning.
    Good post [THUMBUP]
