The sixth commemoration of the day that shall live in infamy — I'm speaking of 9/11 here — has brought out a strange crowd from a strange world.
I'm talking about the 9/11 truthers, some of whom surrounded Geraldo's show on Saturday night outside the FOX studios in New York chanting: "9/11 was an inside job, 9/11 was an inside job."
By an inside job they mean the U.S. government — Bush and Cheney and Rummy in particular — were in on the planning and execution of the biggest attack on the American homeland in our history.
It's based on the notion that U.S. leaders killed 3,000 of their own citizens to start a war or two or three in the Middle East. Evidence of this plotting is found in all sorts of anomalies in the day of the attack.
All kinds of experts have stepped forward to say this stuff is foolishness, but conspiracy theories don't need facts to sustain them. They just need an army of the gullible to spread the word.
Who pushes these theories? Charlie Sheen for one. He's decided to side with truthers. And Rosie O'Donnell for another.
The two college kids who got all this started in this country with their 9/11 truth movie called "Loose Change" have now admitted their movie asserting 9/11 was an inside job is filled with errors, falsities and erroneous conclusions.
Just by the way: If American Flight 77 didn't hit the Pentagon, where is it? They never have an answer for that one.

It still gets me that people actually believe the video which started this whole mess. I watched that video months ago and just blew it off as looney. A great deal of the "evidence" in the video just doesn't add up. Like what? For example: they talk about how the windows blew outwards as the building collapsed. Well sure they did. There was a huge amount of pressure coming down on top of the floors below. The glass in the floors below would explode outward well before the walls did giving the "impression" of controlled explosions due to the air pressure needing somewhere to go. Very simple. Very logical.
I guess another thing that gets me about the whole "theory" is this: It would have taken a very long time and a fairly large number of people to have set up all of the implosion charges. Not just in one monstrous building but two of them. They would have had to hide every little wire and every charge in every position so the people who worked in that building day after day would have never suspected a thing. Pretty tough to pull off. Also, with the number of people who would have had to be involved in an operation like that, is it actually believable to think that not one single person ever spoke about it after they'd had a few too many drinks or just the human temptation to spout off "I know something you don't know!!" to their friends???
One more: To think the govt would have sent people into the towers to set up all of the implosion charges and then worked with the terrorists and even perhaps told them what floor to fly the plane into for maximum damage due to where the charges were set is just ridiculous. This just defies common sense. Facts on this? Like I said........it just defies common sense that the govt would have work hand in hand with the terrorists to pull the whole thing off. For me, it is not a possiblity. If I ever see something contrary to what I know about the subject so far that actually makes sense, I'll give it all a second chance and think it through again.

Now, why did building 7 collapse? I don't know. With the main towers falling, the structural integrity of building 7 could have compromised. That is just as valid a "theory" as any other I have seen. There are still many unanswered questions about the entire incident but yelling and screaming at each other is NOT going solve the mysteries surrounding the events of that day. Everyone already has their mind made up about what they are willing or not willing to believe. Nothing anyone posts is going make a rabbit turds worth of difference so let's at least stop the name calling as subversives has asked.
If you really want to know what happened beyond any reasonable doubt, go and get an engineering degree and any other degree you will need and then go and figure it out. When you get that all done, if I'm still around due to the number of years that would take, then I'll listen. None of us is an expert on this stuff and we just believe whatever web site or news story we want to. We ALL seem to do that on virtually any subject you can think of and then get offended when someone doesn't agree with your web sites info because someone else's web site disagrees with what yours says. Screwey sentence?? Sure, but it makes as much sense as what I see posted. We all need to get a grip already. Yes, including me. I'm just as guilty as anyone else.
One other thing that really disgusts me and then I'm done...for now.
I go and post something political for example. The first thing that happens is someone comes and says I'm stupid for believing what GWB says and then they say my brain is warped or nonexistent and all I do is believe the nazi republicans and the neo-cons or this or that. It's getting really old. If your political philosophy doesn't agree with mine I understand that. But how legitimate do your "facts" look to me when all you do is call me names like you are a 6 year old? Some people here need to grow up already.

There.........that is what I posted on "subversives" blog site about all of the junk going on with blogster. I can see that in many "liberal" cases, they have not let up and continue with their blather and rudeness and name calling.
Comments I found lately have stated that the gays on blogster are the ones being attacked!! [HUH] ??? If that is true, I would like one of them to show me where the Christians came and attacked them on ANY of their posts. They would know which Christians I am referring to. If they will be honest about the whole thing (which I have not seen much of on their part lately), they would also explain that it was THEY who came and made attacking, scathing and even "X" rated remarks on MY page. Not me on theirs. So, how they can contend that the gays are the ones being attacked I have no idea. Once again because so many people just don't seem to get this.....THEY came to MY site and attacked me and my wife. THEN had to go and get reinforcements!!! My blog site not theirs!! I have gone to NO other site and attacked anyone's beliefs!!! I have had dissagreements on political issues but not about their religious beliefs!!!

This is all sooooooooo ridiculous!!!!!!! People need to wake up to the idea that there are 2 sides to every story.........
Sorry Joe....I'm just sick of the junk they keep telling each other and other people and claiming it's true.
